I was born "In A CrossFire Hurricane..." the same weekend as Woodstock & Hurricane Camille. I’ve scuba dived with sharks. No cage. I’ve hang glided 5200 feet up strapped to a kite. Lived through rafting class 4 rapids except for the knee injury. Got 100 stitches in a motorcycle wreck. Driven a big rig through a blizzard and over the mountains out west when the roads were closed. Fell out of a huge tree hiking and broke a shoulder blade and crushed a ball and socket. Jumped off a really high Interstate bridge into the Tenn-Tom Waterway. Stepped in a yellow jacket nest and was stung over 200 times. Burst an eardrum barefoot water skiing. Witnessed from one block away the tornado that wrecked downtown Nashville in 98. Lived through it all. That’s more than 9 lives, and I love cats!!! Pure adrenaline junkie. But that’s all another story.
What is I suppose my first and oldest near death experience was at the tender age of only 19 months old, when I drank a full shot of pure kerosene, mistaking it for a glass of sweet Southern style tea... then OBE….. Let’s start there…
